For Psychiatry, Hospital Clinico, Valencia. Research Coordinator for Psychiatry for the Institute for Clinical Health Research of the Hospital ( INCLIVA) . Member of the Real Academia of Medicine in Valencia. Member of the executive committee of CIBER (Web of Research in Biomedics) for psychiatric diseases and responsible for the program in Schizophrenia. Coordinator since 10 year of a multidisciplinary team for the research in Psychosis, integrating Phenomenological Aspects (Hospital Clinico Valencia) Genetics (Department of Molecular Genetics, Faculty of Biology, Valencia), Neuroimages (Association for the development and research in Magnetic Resonance) and Cognitive Therapy. Has coordinated a big multi- centered research project (11 groups) about genetic vulnerability and environmental Stress in post –partum depression and the impact on the infant’s emotional status. In Spain, he is the pioneer in introducing the theory of evolution applied to Psychopathology. He is Chairman of the “Task Force in Evolutionary Psychiatry” of the World Federation of Biological Societies in Psychiatry. Editor and Coordinator of 5 books, he wrote 2 chapters and more than 90 articles in national and International journals. His team is involved currently in 26 national and International official research projects. |
