Curriculum Vitae: Mr. José Mª Sánchez Monge has been a teacher, is now retired, and is , since 2007 the president of the Spanish Confederation of Families and Persons with Mental illness (FEAFES).

He has been an active member of the Board of Directors of the Confederation from July, 2001, in the office of treasurer, vice-president and now president.

Furthermore, he was as well president and vice-president of the Confederation of Families and Persons with Mental illness of the Valencian Community (FEAFES CV) At present, he keeps on being a vocal member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Confederation of Families and Persons with Mental illness of Alicante (AFEMA), of which previously he also was president elect.

Patron of Foundation ONCE, also, vice-president of The Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities  (CERMI) from March, 2009.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of Strategy of Mental health of the National System of Health (SNS)

He is a member of the Experts´ Committee of the Center of State Reference of Attention to Persons with serious mental disorder of Valencia.
